A second review of the Chelsea Flower Show (see "Crime by Blossoms," published in May 1933), in which Bates again adopts a humorous tone in detailing the wonders of what he calls a "manifestation of floral religion."
Bates would again revisit the subject in 1936 ("The Other Chelsea") and in a 1937 Country Life column for The Spectator ('The Exclusiveness of Chelsea'. February 26, 1937, p. 357).
