Bates's third review of the Chelsea Flower Show (see the 1933 "Crime by Blossoms" and the 1935 "Chelsea") once again displays his love of flowers, and again includes many disparaging comments on the middle-class women who attend the show.
Bates would again revisit the subject one final time in a 1937 Country Life column for The Spectator ('The Exclusiveness of Chelsea'. February 26, 1937, p. 357).
